Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026 · Pre-release version

VoxHere is a local-first voice input app for macOS. This policy explains what stays on your device, which features use online services, and which providers participate.

1. Data that stays local by default

Core recordings, transcripts, personal vocabulary, learned terms, and local history stay on your Mac by default. Core speech recognition and text post-processing do not require sending audio or transcripts to our license service.

2. Necessary online services

  • Trial and licensing: the app sends the license, a random installation identifier, a product-isolated HMAC device digest, device label, app version, and architecture for activation, device limits, and abuse prevention. Raw hardware UUIDs and disk serials are not sent.
  • Payment: Paddle acts as our merchant of record. VoxHere does not directly receive or store full card details.
  • Transactional and security email: Resend sends verification codes and device security notices and reports delivery status. Your purchase email is the primary license and device-verification channel.
  • Updates and downloads: providers may process IP address, app version, request time, and requested files.
  • Feedback: data is sent only after you enter, preview, and confirm it. It may include your message, category, optional contact email, and selected version/OS/architecture/locale/permission/model status. It excludes audio, transcripts, dictionaries, clipboard, full paths, and licenses.
  • Crash reporting: still under design; the current version does not automatically upload crash reports.

3. Service providers

  • Cloudflare: site hosting, DNS, security, license APIs, and feedback-case storage.
  • Paddle: payment, tax, order, and refund processing.
  • Resend: verification, license-security email, and—once the support inbox is enabled—feedback notifications containing only the fields you already previewed and submitted.
  • Apple / update hosting providers: app signing, notarization, and update distribution.

4. Website data

This website currently uses no advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may process standard network logs such as IP address, User-Agent, access time, and request path for hosting, security, and abuse prevention.

5. Retention and security

License and purchase-linked records are retained as needed to provide entitlements and fulfill orders. Successful email-delivery events are currently planned for 90-day retention and failures for 180 days. Device identifiers are product-isolated digests; licenses are not stored in plain text in ordinary preferences.

6. Your choices

You can remove local history and vocabulary, stop using online features, or uninstall the app. Because device replacement relies on the purchase email, we do not offer self-service purchase-email changes; exceptional cases require strict manual verification. Once the public support channel opens, you may request access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal and transaction-retention duties.

7. Changes

We will update this page and its effective date when data types, online capabilities, or processors materially change. This policy may still be adjusted before public launch.

8. Contact

support@voxhere.com will open before public beta. Invited testers should continue using the channel provided with their invitation.
